I love where the wild things are, 1984,and a peoples history ,I am not familiar with the other books you listed, I wanted to recommend the book that inspired george orwell to wtie 1984 ,it is called “We” by yevgevny Zamyatin, you wont find it in a book store and his literature is difficult to find online except on amazon .com cause like the ancient feminst poet Sappho of Lesbos island ,his literature was destroyed and completely removed from existience and destroyed in his country, the only reason it exists is because he also published in other countries in other languages , this was a powerful book as it prophesized the totaliarian society that became a reality under stalin 8 years before it happened , and after reading his autobiography, he stated real literature comes from heretics ,who are necessary, I realized his work was plagiargized by george , if it was not I have yet to read a book where george credits Zamyatins for his ideas and some of his personal quotes. in Orwell’s autobiography why I write, he repeated almost word for word what zamyatin had written years earlier , about heretics, I was disappointed, and yes orwell was known to have read his works any ways if you like 1984 and are familiar with religious sybolism and mythology, you will probably love “WE” and ” A Soviet Heretic” by Zamyatin is another awesome book on about the writers craft.
